Who we serve

Margin recovery for CPG brands

Your margin leaves in trade spend you cannot measure and shelf position you find out about too late. Tribu puts sell-through, promotion performance and inventory in front of the people making the call, while the call still matters.

Where the margin goes

Brand teams are asked to defend margin using numbers that arrive after the decision window has closed.

You see sell-through a month late

An account manager covering a major metro needs monthly sales and promotion data by account to make a pricing call. When that data takes weeks to arrive, or needs an approval to release, the decision gets made on instinct instead.

Trade spend goes out unmeasured

Scan-backs, demos, placement fees. Each one is defensible in isolation and almost none of them get measured against the lift they actually produced, because the sell-through data and the spend data live in different places.

Shelf problems reach you as lost volume

Damaged packaging, poor placement, an out-of-stock nobody flagged. You find out through a sales number that dropped, weeks after the shopper walked past your product and bought something else.

Growth means headcount you do not want

Every new retailer adds portals, formats and reporting. The usual answer is another analyst. The better answer is that most of that work is reconciliation, and reconciliation is what agents are genuinely good at.

The arithmetic

Trade spend is typically one of the largest lines a brand controls, and the hardest to attribute. You do not need a perfect model to improve it. You need to know which promotions paid and which did not, early enough to stop repeating the ones that did not.

We would rather show you this on your own numbers than argue it in the abstract. That is what the audit is.

The promotion you cannot measure is the one you keep running

How it works

It unifies the data you already have

Retailer portals, distributor reports, your own order and inventory systems. One place where sell-through, spend and stock line up against each other.

It scores the promotion

Spend against lift, by account and by SKU, so the next trade calendar is built on what worked rather than what was budgeted last year.

It reaches the distributor side

Tribu also works with the distributors who carry your products. That is a demand signal most brands never get to see, and the reason we can tell you about a problem while it is still a problem.

Questions we get asked

We are a small team. Is this too heavy for us?
It is aimed at exactly that. The brands we work with are trying to grow revenue without growing headcount, and the work being replaced is reconciliation rather than judgement.
Do you integrate with our retailer portals and e-commerce?
Yes — retailer portals, distributor reporting and direct-to-consumer platforms including Shopify. The point is one reconciled view rather than five tabs.
How is this different from a retail data platform?
Data platforms sell you the numbers. Tribu makes the decision with them and tells you afterwards whether the decision worked. We also see the distributor side of your supply chain, which retail data alone does not cover.
What do you need from us to start?
A recent stretch of sales and promotion data. The audit shows you where margin leaked and what would have been caught, and you keep the analysis either way.

Bring us one messy week of orders and invoices

We'll show you where the margin is leaking and what Tribu would have caught — before you commit to anything.

We also work with distributors and manufacturers. Seeing more than one tier of the same supply chain is how we spot what a single view misses.
